Cable Installation

Rixen arrived last week and we have been hard at work to install the cable system and have it ready for next month!  We have assembled the towers and the starting ramp and set some of the water anchors.  Today we erected our first tower for the main cable system.  It was so exciting to see the tower go up!

We will continue to set anchors and install the towers and will have the cable running in just a few short weeks!  We will have a five-tower main cable system, which will be the largest in the country, and a two-tower practice system.  We hope to see everyone out at the park enjoying the water shortly!

On the building side of the construction at the park, we are moving along quickly.  We have begun building the interior walls for the restrooms and the rental return hallway.  It is amazing how quickly this building is going up.

The weather is getting warmer and we are getting closer to opening the only cable park in the Northeast!

After many long days of working on the docks, three weeks of pouring concrete, and many many hours preparing for the construction of the building, we have made tremendous progress on all three projects!

The docks are complete.  We have a starting dock for the both the main cable and the Lil Bro, four exit docks and a walkway along the edge of the lake.  All other exit points will be along our floating docks around the main cable.

We have all our water anchors poured and two of our land anchors poured.  The land anchors weigh 46,000 lbs each!  We poured 74 concrete slabs to assemble the water anchors in just a few short weeks.  These towers aren’t going anywhere!

We have been preparing to begin construction on the building for a few weeks now and we finally broke ground this week.  We are currently working on the footers and the foundation and we will continue at an aggressive rate so it is ready for our Grand Opening on July 11!

I hope everyone is getting excited to wakeboard at Northeast’s first and only cable wake park this summer!

A special thanks to DiFiore Construction and F.G. Rayburn Mason Contractors for helping make this happen!

The starting dock for the Lil Bro is almost complete and ready for riders!  The Lil Bro will be used for training purposes.  Riders can learn how to ride a wakeboard for the first time or learn how to hit a kicker or rail.  We can’t wait until we open this summer!

Construction has begun!

We have begun the construction of the docks (2 starting docks and 4 exit docks) and are finishing constructing a retaining wall on the north side of the lake. We will begin construction of the building as soon as weather permits. We will also be pouring concrete and laying astro turf along the northern shore of the lake. We have the cable system equipment ready and in March/early April we will begin the installation as soon as the lake melts.
